SOCIAL COMMITTEE

The duties of the Social Committee are:

  1. To plan and organize all social events of the organization.
  2. To reserve appropriate facilities and equipment in addition to providing adequate staffing for each event.
  3. To work out financial details with the Treasurer.
  4. To inform the Promotions Chairperson if publicity is needed.
  5. To do reports and evaluations of all projects and activities.
  6. To submit a budget to the Executive Committee for approval.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS/PROMOTIONS COMMITTEE

The duties of the Public Affairs/Promotions Committee are:

  1. To inform the community about all of the organization's activities through whatever means necessary i.e. information distribution, events advertising.
  2. To be responsible for membership enhancement and retention.
  3. To be responsible for all forms of advertisement: newspaper ads, TV, radio, internet etc.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT/CULTURAL COMMITTEE

The duties of the Community Involvement/Cultural Committee are:

  1. To provide opportunities to discover and join a variety of community-oriented programs and action groups.
  2. To enhance the organization's cultural identity through workshops, seminars, and involvement in community events.
  3. To participate and promote national, state, or local conferences which are in the organization's best interests.

PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

  1. Developing a professional contact database and resources for members’ interests, efforts and careers.
  2. Promote seminars or training sponsored by the organization or by other organizations which enhance professional and personal development.
  3. Mentoring high school and college students.
  4. Enhancing networking and development opportunities for the organization.
